Atlas goods uses many different exotic hides to create wallets, bags and accessories. We have specialized in working with Stingray leather for over 20 years. We sometimes upcycle discontinued stingray leather phone cases and recreate them into new beautiful products using the material.
In many Asian cultures it is believed that stingray will bring you both luck and money. Used by the Samurai on parts of their armor and on the handle of their swords, it has long been known to be resistant to cuts, tears, piercing and fire. Stingray leather is fourty times stronger than cowhide leather so the stingray products endure the test of time with great style.
We carry the traditional unpolished stingray products with a textured surface and also polished stingray otherwise known as Shagreen. Shagreen has a smooth, almost silky feel and is very thin yet it still has great durability.
