SHOWERS PASS PARTNERS WITH NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC ON COLLECTION OF WATERPROOF SOCKS AND GLOVES

Showers Pass Continues Their Innovations to Protect Against Foul Weather

DENVER, CO- Showers Pass has partnered with National Geographic to develop waterproof socks and gloves specifically designed for adventuring.   This newest addition to their wildly successful line of waterproof socks and gloves already beloved by runners, cyclists, hikers and other outdoor enthusiast for staying dry in the worst weather conditions.

While they may feel like regular socks, the Showers Pass National Geographic Waterproof Socks are fully windproof and waterproof, thanks to a proprietary 3-layer construction. Features include a wear resistant knit exterior, a seamless waterproof breathable ArtexTM membrane, and a moisture wicking Merino Wool-blend lining. The matching gloves use the same technology.

“Showers Pass Waterproof Socks and Gloves offer a practical cross-category solution to cold, wet feet and hands.  We have seen incredible growth in this category and are happy to offer this new range of waterproof socks and gloves suited for explorers who brave the toughest conditions. We are committed to providing advanced design, materials, and construction methods whenever we develop a new product” says Kyle Ranson, president of Showers Pass. “The new National Geographic Waterproof Socks feature a longer length designed for hiking, and still maintain a durable reinforced toe and heel for maximum comfort.  They effectively turn any shoe into a windproof and rainproof solution.  The gloves offer exceptional dexterity.”

National Geographic has been igniting the explorer in all of us for over 130 years through ground-breaking storytelling from the best and brightest scientists, explorers, photographers, and filmmakers in the world. Their iconic yellow border offers a portal to explore the farthest reaches of the Earth and beyond. This rich legacy of exploration made for an ideal partnership, as premium gear is an essential component of every great adventure.

Due to a proprietary 3-D laminating process, the fit is much more ergonomic than other waterproof socks and gloves on the market. The socks are designed to be a compression fit, delivering maximum breathability during foot motion. With the same laminating process, the gloves provide a high level of warmth, comfort and dexterity for an exceptionally low profile waterproof glove. The Showers Pass National Geographic Waterproof Socks and Gloves are a necessity for anyone who spends time in the wet outdoors.
