NATURE’S VOICE. CARVICO and JERSEY LOMELLINA GREEN PHILOSOPHY
Sustainable fashion is the new frontier of the textile business and our companies, headquartered in the district of Bergamo – Carvico and Jersey Lomellina – far-sighted by nature, have been working for years now to reduce the environmental impact of their production and have achieved amazing results in terms of sustainability.
Among the first companies to have complied with the Kyoto protocol in 2005, in 2013, Carvico e Jersey Lomellina created a co-generation plant for the independent production of energy thus fulfilling their sustainability plan. It was a brave approach, structured and comprehensive, which also included the installation of a water homogenization and pre-treatment system and of a fumes treatment system along with the use of recycled raw materials. It took as several years of research, analysis, adjustments and updates but now Carvico and JL premises are one of the best examples of successful green entrepreneurship.
How did we do it? Through the “4 Es”:

- ECO INNOVATION: optimizing our production process aiming at a higher efficiency, lower waste and the use of sustainable raw materials
- ECO WELLBEING: corporate activities aimed to achieve a more sustainable and responsible development.
Not only Made in Italy, then, but also “made with integrity”, Carvico and JL environmental commitment translates in concrete actions both inside and outside the companies. For instance the support given, since 2016, to Healthy Seas – a Journey from waste to wear, a non governmental association dealing with the recovery of ghost fishing nets, which are deadly traps for marine wildlife and which are then fed to a virtuous cycle of recovery and re generation of waste leading to the creation of recycled textile products. And we are not only talking about fishing nets but also carpet fluff and tulle which can be recovered and regenerated through a sophisticated, physical-chemical industrial process which transforms them into ECONYL® regenerated polyamide.

SUSTAINABLE FABRICS BY by Carvico
Creating a collection of high performance, eco-friendly and sustainable fabrics: this is not just an idea for Carvico, it is the successful outcome of our production, our everyday reality, a challenge we have won.
All sustainable fabrics by Carvico are made of ECONYL®, a regenerate Nylon yarn transforming the problems caused by waste into exciting solutions for fashion and interior design. Instead of ending up in a landfill, carpet fluff, discarded fishing nets and other waste made of Nylon, at the end of their useful life are regenerated and turned by Aquafil into brand new ECONYL® yarn .
VITA fabrics
Versatile, hyper-resistant, thin, stretch and breathable, the fabrics belonging to VITA family by Carvico, featuring the wonderful, brand new 2019 Color Card, are ideal for the creation of sportswear, swimwear and beachwear.
VITA The company crown jewel, VITA is the sustainable, high performance fabric par excellence by Carvico.
- Composition: 78% regenerated POLYAMIDE (ECONYL®) - 22% ELASTAN
- Surface and features: the perfect blend of muscular compression and comfort, thanks to its innovative construction, VITA is two times more resistant to chlorine, suntan creams and oils than its competitors. Ultra thin, soft and bi-elastic, this fabric ensures maximum cover, a high shape retention power and an excellent UV protection factor.
- Applications: Ideal for the creation of beachwear and sportswear, both for amateurs and professional athletes.
- Weight: 190 g/m²
VITA Power is the strongest and thickest version of VITA.
- Composition: 78% regenerated POLYAMIDE (ECONYL®) - 22% ELASTAN
- Surface and features: Soft, pleasant to wear on the skin, compact and breathable, VITA Power is quite thick, boasts an excellent recovery power, is pilling and abrasions resistant, UV protective (UPF 50+), and ensures the correct muscular compression, thus reducing the production of lactic acid and promoting faster recovery.
- Applications: Thanks to its perfect fit and maximum comfort, VITA Power is ideal for high performance sportswear item and shaping beach wear.

VITA Suede is VITA Power brushed version.
- Composition: 78% regenerated POLYAMIDE (ECONYL®) - 22% ELASTAN
- Surface and features: VITA Suede stands out for its matt and warm surface, looking very natural and similar to suede. Compact and breathable, Vita Suede is extra charming and with a double personality.
- Applications: Perfect for the creation of versatile and original outfits, ideal for trendy activewear to be used inside and outside the gym.

VITA PL
- Composition: 78% regenerated POLYAMIDE (ECONYL®) - 22% ELASTAN
- Surface and features: Perfect for transfer printing, it is available in a wide range of neon colors boasting amazing color fastness values.
- Applications: Ideal for the creation of chlorine-proof swimwear items which are also resistant to the degradation caused by suntan creams and oils, and for long lasting sportswear garments.

Revolutional ECO
- Composition: 79% regenerated POLYAMIDE (ECONYL®) - 21% ELASTAN
- Surface and features: being the sustainable evolution of the Revolutional™ family of fabrics, Revolutional™ Eco offers a perfect fit, an efficient shaping effect without constraints, amazing UV protection ( UPF 50+ ), resistance to pilling, abrasions, chlorine and sand.

- Surface and features: high performance, compact, non see-through and stretch, Renew Cult follows the body movement ensuring always the best fit.
- Applications: ideal for the creation of beachwear or sportswear items which are resistant to abrasions and maintain their shape over time, even after many washes.

RENEW FINE
- Composition: 83% regenerated POLYAMIDE (ECONYL®) - 17% ELASTAN
- Surface and features: Compact, light, soft and ultrafine, Renew Fine embraces and caresses the body like a second skin. Its surface is matt and slightly see-through.
- Applications: Renew Fine is the ideal base for lingerie and for sexy, comfy and lightweight sportswear tops.

RENEW PRIME
- Composition: 65% regenerated POLYAMIDE (ECONYL®) - 35% ELASTAN
- Surface and features: bi-elastic and sustainable, this fabric is the heaviest member of the renew family. Its texture is compact and thick, this is why it can ensure a perfect fit and long-lasting shape retention. Dynamic, energetic, strong and high performance, Renew Prime offers the right muscular compression and a high modulus.
- Applications: thanks to its shape retention power, Renew Prime doesn’t curl and is ideal for the creation of comfortable, seamless, free cut items.

- Applications: particularly suitable for the creation of high end, soft and comfortable fitness and atlheisure garments.

B-CHIC PL
- Composition: 82% POLYAMIDE / 18% ELASTAN
- Surface and features: a soft polyester fabric which can enhance printing effects and the brightness of the boldest nuances. B-Chic PL perfectly mixes performance and style and, when in contact with the skin, boosts moisture evaporation keeping garments and the body dry and fresh.

B-FASHION
- Composition: 84% POLYAMIDE / 16% ELASTAN
- Surface and features: B-Fashion is an innovative double face fabrics made of polyamide which stands out for his two different sides, one piece dyed and the other mass dyed. This peculiarity makes it perfect for creating exciting color matches. The black side doesn’t influence the colored one, it doesn’t bleed and never loses its shine.
- Applications: B-Fashion embraces the silhouette and follows the body every move and is ideal for the creation of leggings, and trendy fitness and outerwear items.

B-FIT
- Composition: 46% POLYAMIDE / 38% POLYESTER / 16% ELASTAN
- Surface and features: an innovative double face fabrics putting together the main features of polyamide and polyester. Polyester on the skin transfers moisture to the garment surface and polyamide makes it evaporate. B-Fit is available in several bi-color versions.
