Harold Beck & Sons, Inc. Launches Group 57, 1/4-Turn Valve Actuator

Harold Beck & Sons, Inc., a manufacturer of electric valve actuators, is proud to announce it has released the Group 57 1/4-turn rotary electric valve actuator. The Group 57 maintains all traditional Beck actuator advantages, such as maintenance-free operation, long-term reliability, and unmatched control, but adds features often required in hazardous environments and remote locations, typical of oil and gas wellhead and pipeline valves.

Features of the Group 57 include:

  • No burn-out motor Positioning accuracy to 0.1 degree

  • The ability to run on 12-48 Vdc or 120 Vac power

  • Class I, Division 1, Groups B, C & D hazardous location ratings

  • A built-in electric fail-safe capability

  • Fast stroking speeds for applications requiring a faster open or close rate

  • Simple and flexible mounting hardware for virtually any valve including ISO 5211 applications

“After several years of development to ensure the highest quality, we are pleased to add the Group 57 to our line of industrial valve actuators,” said Douglas C. Beck, President & CEO of Harold Beck & Sons, Inc.

“Reliability and control performance are always our focus, which is why Beck actuators eliminate  the inherent problems of other actuators such as motor burnout common with traditional electric actuators and stick-slip response typical of pneumatic actuators. Our team has designed an actuator as reliable and efficient as our existing models, with additional capabilities for hazardous and remote environments."
