University of Louisville’s College of Business Launches 100% Online Graduate Certificate in Franchise Management
The program aims to address a current education gap in the franchising industry in order to prepare franchisees for greater success
University of Louisville (UofL) announced the launch of the online Certificate in Franchise Management, an innovative 9-hour graduate-level program offered through the College of Business.
Targeted toward current and future franchise owners, this program aims to enrich knowledge and expertise in areas fundamental to franchisee success such as franchise team management, franchise law, human resources management, finance, strategic planning and more. Offered through 5-week terms, the 6-course program can be earned one class at-a-time in a just over half a year. Completion of courses in the certificate will also earn credits toward the Certified Franchise Executive (CFE) through the International Franchising Association (IFA).
“Understanding where the gaps in knowledge remain within the industry was crucial to developing a truly student-centered certificate program,” said Todd Mooradian, dean for the College of Business at UofL. “Through close partnership with industry experts and experienced franchise managers, the Franchise Management Certificate uses a project-based curriculum that emphasizes “real world” application to best prepare graduates for a successful future in franchising.”
The Certificate in Franchise Management is the the first in a series of specialized online certificate programs that are being offered to support growth in key industries unique to Louisville.
