DiSTI Named as Training Systems Contract (TSC) IV Award Recipient by Naval Air Warfare Center

Can compete for $980 million in training delivery system programs issued via the contract vehicle

The DiSTI Corporation, the world’s leading provider of 3D virtual training solutions and graphical user interface software, has been awarded a contract N61340-18-D-5007 for the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division’s (NAWCTSD) Training Systems Contract IV (TSC IV) Multiple Award Contract (MAC). The TSC IV MAC, inclusive of all awarded contracts and ordering periods, has a not-to-exceed value of $980,000,000. All delivery orders will be placed pursuant to the procedures at FAR 16.5.

DiSTI was one of 10 small business award winners among the 23 award recipients – significant as it allows these companies to compete on a level playing field among the largest industry defense contractors for services on the contract to provide training device and training systems design, development, production, test and evaluation, delivery, modification and support. TSC IV’s evaluation included vendor delivery capabilities for virtual and augmented reality technology, opening the door for more SMB contractors that have been driving innovation and leadership in this area.

“Being included on the award validates DiSTI’s well-rounded capabilities to deliver high quality training programs to the U.S. Navy. I believe we stood out in two ways. First, DiSTI has superior technology in the area of virtual maintenance training; and secondly, our past performance on other government contracts proves we are capable of succeeding. Those two elements combined are really what the Navy was looking for,” said Joe Swinski, President of DiSTI.

DiSTI’s VP of Services, Steve Jackson adds, “Over the past 15 years, DiSTI has consistently delivered operator and maintainer training solutions to the U.S. military and commercial customers. We have the expertise, processes and technology leadership with developmental tools like VE Studio and GL Studio to deliver cutting-edge training solutions, quickly and economically.”

TSC IV’s objective is to establish a long-term competitively awarded contract vehicle to support NAWC TSD’s acquisition of training system devices, complementary ISD products and Training Systems Support. Contract deliverables include development and production of new training systems, modification of existing training systems, and purchasing additional quantities of existing training systems. The pre-selection of award recipients identifies contractors that have demonstrated capability to meet Fleet requirements by: shortening training program development and delivery times, delivering high-quality programs to the field, maintain a responsive customer support team, and deliver at reasonable prices.
