Tyndale to add union-made garments to its Made in US offerings

Pipersville, PA – Tyndale Company and National Safety Apparel® (NSA), announced an expansion of the two companies’ existing strategic alliance aimed at increasing worker access to Union Line™ 100% union-made-in-the-USA FR clothing. The new initiative was spurred by NSA’s recent acquisition of Rubin Brothers and the Union Line clothing brand to create the wholly owned subsidiary NSA-Rubin Brothers LLC.

Rubin Brothers is the clothing provider for the Electrical Training ALLIANCE – the training arm of the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). ETA is also the leading publisher of education materials for the electrical industry, committed to ensuring electrical workers work smarter and safer. The Union Line brand plays an important role by providing workers access to arc rated, flame resistant (AR/FR) clothing.

Effective July 1, Tyndale will take over the management of ETA’s AR/FR clothing purchase program, previously managed by NJATC-FR.  Even before the new partnership, Tyndale provided more IBEW members with AR/FR clothing than any other supplier. This alliance allows Tyndale to offer FR clothing options that include union-made in the US and made in the US options. Tyndale looks forward to working with ETA to continue providing electrical workers with both additional education and access to the AR/FR clothing they need to stay safe on the job.

Tyndale is a leading supplier of AR/FR clothing to the utility, electrical contracting and maintenance, oil and gas, transportation and other industries. In addition the union-made apparel from Union Line, Tyndale offers both its own 100% made in the U.S. line of AR/FR clothing as well as distributed apparel from every major FR brand, including Ariat, Bulwark, Carhartt, DRIFIRE, Wrangler FR, and others. Tyndale is family owned and operated and is certified as a Women-owned Business Enterprise.

Like Tyndale, NSA is a family owned and operated business, and the two enterprises share the same commitment to preserving U.S. jobs, as well as exceptional product quality and customer service. Union Line, previously manufactured by Rubin Brothers, has served the clothing needs of working Americans for over 110 years as one of the industry’s leading suppliers of union-made apparel.

“A big part of what drove this agreement is our shared values and commitment to the safety of workers in the field,” explained Tyndale President, Robert Whittenberger. “We couldn’t be more proud and happy to distribute Union Line garments.” According to Whittenberger, Tyndale and NSA anticipate working cooperatively to expand the selection of the union-made FR garments with new Union Line products and styles.

Tyndale, based in Pipersville, PA, is a leading supplier of arc-rated, flame resistant (AR/FR) clothing to the utilities, oil and gas, 70E, transportation, and other industries. Since 2014, Tyndale has operated a second distribution center in Houston, TX offering enhanced service to the southern and western U.S., as well as planned redundancy to ensure continuous service under any circumstances.
