IAAPA Attractions Expo 2017

VRSTUDIOS VRCADE ARENAâ„¢ ON SHOW FLOOR AT IAAPA ATTRACTIONS EXPO 2017

VRSTUDIOS TO HIGHLIGHT STRATEGIC RELATIONSHIPS WITH HEWLETT PACKARD, NVIDIA, HTC VIVE, AUDIOKINETIC AND TPCAST

NOVEMBER 7, 2017 – Bellevue, WA – VRstudios, the leading provider of globally deployed immersive VR solutions for Location-Based Entertainment (LBE) will be demonstrating the VRcade Arena at the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) Expo, November 14-17 in Orlando, FL. The VRcade Arena is the industry’s first arena-scale, multiplayer, free-roaming virtual reality system based on VRstudios’ Attraction Management Platform™ (AMP). It has been developed specifically for commercial applications as a turnkey solution that can be deployed without requiring a custom facility. This is the first time an arena-sized VR attraction has been demonstrated on the show floor of an IAAPA Expo.

For IAAPA, VRstudios will be exhibiting a 20’x60’ custom configuration of its standard 40’x60’ system and demonstrating various capabilities of the VRcade Arena, AMP and advanced content. Attendees will be able to experience portions of the recently announced, Terminal 17™attraction – an intense, multiplayer adventure game specifically designed for the VRcade Arena. Squads of up to 8 players journey through a massive virtual world by physically walking around the VRcade Arena and using a variety of virtual transportation methods. Players communicate with each other to cooperatively solve puzzles, defend the facility, and advance through multiple levels of Terminal 17.

Attendees will be able to observe how AMP enables easy installation and efficient operations including support of essential day-to-day functions required by the facilities’ technicians, operators, and managers. AMP provides role-specific login access, gives businesses and individuals the tools they need to easily operate their VR attraction, manage hardware, software, user profiles and content, gather important data and analytics, and view valuable operational reports.

“VRstudios will be demonstrating the capabilities of the VRcade Arena to IAAPA attendees interested in offering a large scale, high volume attraction that will fascinate and entertain their guests utilizing technology specifically designed for Location-Based Entertainment,” said Kevin Vitale, VRstudios’ CEO. “The VRcade Arena and custom-tailored attractions, such as Terminal 17, provide an unprecedented, fully immersive VR experience that offers an exciting, VR attraction to complement LBE businesses.”

VRstudios is being supported at the IAAPA Expo by several major technology and game industry companies including Hewlett Packard (HP), NVIDIA, HTC VIVE, Audiokinetic, and TPCAST.  In an ongoing initiative, industry partners are joining the “VRstudios Partner Showcase” to collaborate on innovative solutions and deliver leading attractions to VRstudios’ network of customers.
