Selfie Print Station Brings More Fun to Parties and Events!

CYPRESS , Calif.,  November 14th, 2018 — Photos contribute to all sorts of fun in parties and events.  That’s why photo booths are now back in fashion and used by party and event planners as one of the ways to engage party goers and event participants.  Mitsubishi Electric is taking photography and fun to the next level by making everyone in the party a photographer with its new SelFone™ Wireless Print Station.  It is a compact and portable self-contained printer system that can print wirelessly from anyone’s smart phone.  Without the need to download an app or the subscription of internet connections, it allows quick and easy printing of photos directly from most recent versions of iPhone® or Android™ phones.  The main idea of having the SelFone Wireless Print Station in a party is a throwback to those days when an event can be made more memorable with a photo.  But this is unique because the Mitsubishi Electric SelFone Wireless Print Station enables party and event organizers help attendees create that experience without requiring any photographic expertise or expensive camera equipment.  The concept is to simply offer a photo printing station that lets party goers print the photos they are already taking with their phones and give them the ability to print them to show these pictures without having to pass their phones around.  Wouldn’t it be fun for them to be able to print and share these photos right when the event is happening?

Unlike most Wi-Fi based photo printing, the new Mitsubishi Electric SelFone Wireless Print Station is super easy to use. It simply broadcasts itself as hotspot, and a phone connecting to it establishes a peer-to-peer connection allowing the phone to send phots it takes or from its gallery.  Absolutely no need for any Internet connection or download and installation of a new app.  When connected, to the Mitsubishi Electric SelFone Wireless Print Station, and one’s phone screen will get directed to their phone’s web browser showing a web app that let them take new photos or select photos from their photo galleries to print.  All these directly from their device --- No internet required, no app to download, and no wires.  The only thing a party or event planner needs to provide is the simple instructions printed on a post card and placed on high visibility spots of the event, or have the DJ or emcee announce the availability of the SelFone Wireless Print Station.

The Mitsubishi Electric SelFone Wireless Print Station is a compact and self-contained, comprising of a small Linux® computer attached to the back of a Mitsubishi Electric CP-D90DW instant photo printer. Party planners and event organizers have a wide range of customizable options available, such as creating a custom Wi-Fi SSID name to be broadcasted that can be the event’s name or party celebrants’ name.  In addition, it also allows owners to choosing the print size, and design a suitable template, border, frame and/or artwork.  Owners can also limit the number of prints each phone can print per hour, and this prevents the SelFone Wireless Print Station from getting abused or monopolized by any single user, and finally, at the end of the party, photos sent to print in this SelFone Wireless Print Station can be saved and retained by the party owner or event organizer for accounting and statistical purposes.

The Mitsubishi SelFone Wireless Print Station™ works as a standalone print station for mobile phone photos. No additional computers or cameras needed.  Occupying a footprint of about a square foot with a total weight of no more than 35 pounds, it can sit anywhere visible and accessible. Perfect for use in any venues even restaurants, bars, hotel lobbies, cruise ships, and retail store environment where patrons will be taking selfies and have various fun photo opportunities.

No matter what the occasion is, everyone will already be taking a lot photos using their own phone.  So instead of just having these photos stored in their mobile phones or the cloud, why not print them and have some fun!

The self-contained Mitsubishi SelFone WiFi Photo Print Station is available for a very reasonable investment of $2,499.  Printed media with perforations option comes in a box of 800 pieces  of 4x6” prints per box, costing between $149 to $199, that’s less than a quarter per print of both photo  and coupon.   While photo booths can rent as high as $1,000 to $1,500 per event, party and event rental companies can make the SelFone Wireless Photo Print Station available  for about half the price with a lot less setup work involved.  For more information, please visit www.ME-VIS.com/SelFone.
