Niche Consumer Products: Ben Moore Leading Company to New Heights

Ten years after founding a business that helps emerging companies claim their market share, Niche Consumer Products is pushing further into the growing non-woven consumer products industry.

Ben Moore is founder and president of Niche Consumer Products, a Cincinnati business that licenses, distributes and manufacturers nonwoven consumer products.

In the last year, Niche has added a Bed Pad that helps reduce bed sores to their Diaper 911 Diaper and Swimmer Changing Kits and individually wrapped baby wipes product line up.  Niche recently inked a deal with a Cincinnati-area manufacturer that he used to run, to distribute super absorbent mats, pads and socks for leaks and spills to the industrial, government and health care markets.

There are other large competitors in the market, but Moore believes his company can be a contender in the space because the company has developed a superior product.

“These mats, pads and socks absorb more, and absorb faster for less money than the top product in the space,” said Moore, who previously worked at Procter & Gamble in the Paper Division and Baby Care Global Business Unit.

Before founding Niche Consumer Products, Moore founded Agent Technologies in 1995. Agent Technologies has software developers in the United States and the Philippines. Agent also helps companies redesign their work processes, and implement systems, including product configurators, to increase sales and reduce costs.

In addition to being a Procter & Gamble alum, Moore was a former principal and COO of CityWatcher, and a former general manager of a manufacturing company. He was a Cincinnati Business Courier’s Forty under 40 awardee, and is the author of the book The Consumer’s Workshop: the Future of American Manufacturing.

Moore is on the board of the National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA) Cincinnati Chapter. Recently, Moore launched the MBAs in the Community Initiative through the NBMBAA Cincinnati Chapter; this program provides MBA talent to area minority-owned businesses to facilitate revenue growth and job creation.
