New Apparel Startup Seeks to Bring Made-To-Order Wholesale Activewear to the Masses

There's a new apparel startup that's innovating the way private label activewear is made, and it's opening the market to an ocean of untapped demand.

Tokalon Clothing is on a mission to simplify the product development process for the growing market of businesses that want their own private label activewear, but don’t have the resources to do it themselves. Tokalon's client list ranges from boutique fitness studios to nation-wide gym chains, apparel brands, retailers, and corporate wellness programs. Order quantities start at just 50 pieces for certain styles, up to 10,000+, to scale with the needs of any-sized business.

How It Works

Perhaps the greatest benefit to Tokalon's semi-custom private label offering is its unique development process, which dramatically expedites the made-to-order production timeline. Each of the factories in Tokalon's network has already completed 90% of the development for Tokalon's current collection - including sample development, fit approval, and fabric and trims sourcing.  The last 10% to complete development comes from Tokalon's clients.

Clients choose their desired silhouettes from Tokalon's running collection, then, like an artist adding paint to a canvas, they select their fabrics and trims from Tokalon's curated menu of options, add their designs and branding, approve their digital mockups, and place their production order. From there, clients can get back to managing their businesses while Tokalon manages the details of production.

"It's like putting your private label apparel on auto-pilot," says Tokalon client, Andy Velez, Marketing Manager at Active Wellness, a fitness and wellness services company based in San Francisco, California. "The whole process could not have been easier, and we're really pleased with the final product. We're looking forward to expanding our private label assortment with Tokalon."
