Our Shirts Come With Baggage - FOR BETTER NOT WORSE (FBNW) Making An Impact On The Child Hunger Epidemic In The U.S.

Through Their Monthly Food Drops, The LA Based Clothing Company Gives A Bag Of Groceries To A Child In Need In The US For Each Item Sold; They Don’t Just Write Checks.

One in five children in America go to bed hungry, and this is why FOR BETTER NOT WORSE (FBNW) gives back to children suffering from food insecurity. For each item sold, FBNW gives a bag of groceries to a child in need in the U.S. These are the children that utilize the school subsidized meal programs to receive free breakfast and lunch. FBNW fills that void when these children go home at night and when school isn’t in session such as weekends, holidays, and summer break.

The team personally distributes the bags of groceries at their monthly FBNW Food Drops that are held with the Boys & Girls Club. These events allow the team to engage with the children and families that they directly impact. FBNW’s goal is to one day feed thousands of children across the US every week.

The line consists of women’s tanks, tees, long sleeve tops, sweaters, and accessories, as well as several unisex items. The high-quality goods feature on-trend and feel-good graphics that are hand printed in Los Angeles. With over a decade of experience in the apparel industry, Founder Patricc Reed has a keen eye and great sense for quality and craftsmanship which he applies towards each item within his product line.

Reed runs the small company with his girlfriend, Fiona, Sales Director Diana, partner Tyler, and a team of enthusiastic interns. He states, “I am so proud of what FBNW has accomplished in its 2 years of operation. I had left my last company which I was a partner in to create FBNW because I felt like I needed to do more; I wanted to do more than just create cool clothing, I wanted to find a way to give back to my community. FBNW combines my knowledge and experience in the fashion industry with my passion to help children in need. I hope that our company inspires other companies and aspiring entrepreneurs to find creative ways to give back through business. I imagine a world in the future where EVERY new company created gives back - wouldn’t that be amazing? The world will be so much better if we all did a little something to give back.”

Customer Rachel Howell is a strong advocate for FBNW and its mission, “I met Patricc and Fiona at a pop-up shop in LA last year when I purchased several of their shirts. They shared their story with me and I instantly fell in love with their mission. I think it’s amazing that they are doing such great things to help kids. Although there is a need overseas, I also see that we can be doing a lot more to help kids in need here in the U.S. I love getting newsletter updates from these guys and seeing photos from their food drops. I really feel like my purchase is making an impact because I see it in my inbox monthly!”
