All of the products were launched within the past several months and this is the first showing of the stair parts to a national audience.

New Products at PCBC
The new L.J. Smith Stair Systems products being introduced at the show include:
- Contempo Collection Iron Balusters – Durable iron balusters come in multifunctional styles with straight lines and open spaces. Available in either a low sheen black or matte nickel finish, the iron balusters come in four different styles: straight line, rectangular vertical feature, oblong vertical feature and ladder design. The stylish balusters can be installed with complementary newels and rails to enhance multiple home designs.
- Metal Newel Caps - Two decorative Metal Newel Cap styles are available to fit 3”, 3-1/4” and 3-1/2” square wood posts. The caps come in either flat or pyramid options and blend well with iron and wood balusters. Available in Low Sheen Black, Matte Nickel, Oil Rubbed Copper, Satin Black and Stainless Steel, the caps enhance a variety of home styles including Contemporary, Retro, Modern and Craftsman.
- Linear Collection: Metal Panel System – This stairway system boasts a ‘welded’ look that complements most modern or urban decors. It’s the newest look in modern stairway design featuring pre-assembled panels for ease of installation. Available for open tread stairways, kneewall stairways and level run applications. Seven-level run panels are available to meet rail heights of three different options with five-rake panel widths available. The system also includes fast-install spacer newels, panel posts, square nose designed treads and handrails. Comes with Low Sheen Black as a standard finish. Additional powder-coated and Pantone® paint colors can be ordered so that the rail system complements the home interior.
- Linear Collection: Cable System with Metal Newels – Marine-grade stainless steel cable with our new metal newel options create an unimpeded view from any stairway or deck. Product line now includes open tread, kneewall, level run and transition metal newels that can be used to design stunning interior stairway systems and is perfect for exterior decks.
