NY NOW® Winter 2018

Tania Rodamilans Announces New Collection—Hooked—Inspired By The Fragile Beauty Of Earth’s Waters.

Independent artist and jewelry designer Tania Rodamilans returns to NY NOW this February to debut her newest collection, called Hooked. This will be in addition to her much-loved collections from last Summer’s show: Carmie and Lucky U.

One hallmark of Tania Rodamilans’s brand is that her jewelry is always crafted with sense of story. The Hooked Collection is no different. About the collection, Tania writes: “The shape of water, the carving of currents, iridescence of life. Growing up on the coast of Spain, and being married to a fly fisherman who is charmed by waters—I have always been inspired by mysteries beneath the surface. This collection is a tribute to this delicate and intricate beauty of these ecosystems that give and sustain life. From unique colors of stones, to chain that emulates bones, to a combination of rugged and refined textures, these pieces are varied interpretations with a singular aim: to capture the allure of the sea. And make it wearable.”

Wearability is a rigorous standard that Tania defines in three parts: inspired style, exceptional quality and multi-functionality. Having an “inspired style” is all about designing pieces and collections that have stories behind them. Tania believes this allows the women who wear her pieces be able to connect with them in a deeper, more personal way. This also inspires her to be extremely selective in the materials she uses. She has high standards of integrity and durability for materials, but they also have to feel true to the story. And, because fashion should flex to fit our lives, Tania also designs all her pieces to be either easily layered or to actually be worn in multiple ways. Her motto is: Beautiful. Wearable. Everyday.

Tania mixes materials and styles with her signature boho-chic sensibility to create pieces that are intriguing and versatile. “I want my pieces to be fun, fresh and flexible, which is all in how the raw materials are combined and designed. I strive to create a collection that was modern and vintage, unexpected and instinctive, otherworldly and totally down-to-earth.”

She’ll also have the much more from her flagship lines, so there’ll be plenty to shop. So, whether you missed her last year, or you just want to reconnect—stop by Booth 8541, and say hello!
