The story behind a collection that sustained a brand

Atlanta, GA January 2018-There is sometimes a story behind the story and the one for Vella mode’s Open Circle collection has made it a noticeable brand.

In January 2014 Trecy Bleich, Owner for Vella mode, wanted to design something simple that reflected her brand. While thinking of options, she knew her life would be put on hold because she was scheduled for major surgery. The surgery was delayed 6 months but in the meanwhile her emotions were embattled about the reality and its potential outcome. The design for the open circle came out of these emotions. The circle symbolizes the encircling of fears and doubts Trecy was feeling. The opening of the circle is the door of courage, strength, love, opportunity, empowerment or whatever inspiration the wearer pulls from.

After her surgery and a brief recovery, she decided to sell about three Open Circle necklaces at a local Farmers market. While driving home from the market, feeling extremely tired, Trecy feel asleep and got into a major car accident. “God was looking over me that day.  That day the Open Circle became my testament.” Bleich says. During another period of recovery, Bleich composed a brief script for copyright to go along with every Open Circle purchase so she can encourage others. The script reads, “An inspirational piece to remind us that, whatever challenges encircle in our lives, there is always an open door”.

The Open Circle collection is Vella mode’s top selling jewelry design.  It includes three size necklaces designed for layering, two size hoops, bracelets and stacking rings.  The collection also come in various metal tones from 14K gold filled, rose gold, silver and oxidized silver. “Every design I’ve done is a reflection of my mother’s style but the Open Circle collection has allowed so many wonderful opportunities for my company and is a true embodiment of a Vella mode design.” States Trecy. “Always an open door is the clear point for others to remember that whatever brings us down, there is a way out.”
