New York, N.Y. – From Saturday, February 3rd to Tuesday, February 6th, Global Goods Partners will be exhibiting at NY NOW at Javits Center - Booth 204 in Global Handmade Design.
Global Goods Partners is a non-profit social enterprise committed to providing sustainable jobs for women throughout Asia, Africa and the Americas. In partnership with over 60 women-led artisan groups, GGP creates products that tap into the rich well of skill and artistry that is passed from one generation of women to the next.
Stop by to see over 80 new products added for this season across kids, jewelry, felt flowers, home goods and accessories. Each piece is woman-made and beautifully handcrafted from all corners of the earth, and a unique story of the artisan woman who handcrafted it.
The Horn and Tassel Earrings and Horn Tipped Cuff are part of the new horn and brass jewelry collection. Each piece is handcrafted by deaf women artisans in Kenya. In a society where deafness is treated as a disability, these women are empowered with the independence of an income and sustainable work. Shop modern designs paired with traditional techniques.
The Woven Weekend Collection features the Woven Weekender Bag, Woven Travel Case and Luggage Tag. Each piece is handmade by loom- and foot-loomed cotton from Mayan communities of women in Santiago Atitlán, Guatemala. A unique and unisex capsule collection with a special story behind every product.
