FULL MOON COLLECTION SHOWCASES HANDMADE PRODUCTS FROM MYANMAR

AT NY NOW 2018

One-of-a-kind lacquerware, textiles, and accessories for home, commercial, and personal wear

Waterbury, VT December 2017 — Sophisticated lacquerware is now available to North America interior designers and retailers with the introduction of handmade products from local artisans in Myanmar. Full Moon Collection imports decorative statement pieces as well as functional items, equally favored for contemporary and traditional décor. Crafted from native bamboo following centuries-old traditions, the lacquerware collection includes bowls, Soon-oke, trays, and cups richly decorated in reds, oranges, greens, and blacks. Designers will find lacquerware’s distinctive shapes and saturated colors integrate easily into home, commercial, and spa interiors, adding a global element and stylishness. Retailers will note the collection’s home accessories and tabletop products.

The collection also celebrates textiles woven by hand on backstrap and floor looms in remote, indigenous villages. Time-honored ethnic designs and labor-intensive techniques yield matchless pure lotus and silk weavings for home and personal wear.

Carolyn Walters Fox, Full Moon Collection’s founder and owner remarks about her relationship with Myanmar, “As a world traveler, I have been touched and inspired by many places. I am privileged to celebrate those places, most especially Myanmar, its people and talented artisans. Ethically produced using and employing age-old methods, this collection of handmade goods demonstrates my admiration and support for the artisans, producers, and local communities of Myanmar.”
