FULL MOON COLLECTION’S SOPHISTICATED MYANMAR ITEMS ON TREND FOR 2018
One-of-a-kind statement pieces and handmade accessories complement this year’s spotlight on authenticity
Waterbury, VT December 2017— A touch of global influence is added to this year’s trend of authentic, cultural immersion with handcrafted items from Full Moon Collection’s sophisticated assortment of lacquerware and textiles. Now available to North American designers and retailers, these imports from local Myanmar artisans integrate world goods into residential and commercial design.
Designers will find lacquerware’s distinctive shapes and rich colors balance nicely with the latest color palette of
warm greens and browns, adding pops of reds, oranges, ambers, and blacks. With leather and natural stone surfaces important elements this year, these well-curated and unique lacquerware pieces and textiles provide an exotic yet authentic component.
Full Moon Collection imports decorative pieces as well as functional items equally suited for contemporary and traditional décor. Crafted from bamboo following centuries-old traditions, the richly decorated lacquerware collection includes bowls, Soon-oke, trays, and cups. Designers will find lacquerware’s elegant shapes and resonant colors integrate easily into home, commercial, and spa décor, adding original elements and stylishness. Retailers will note the collection’s home accessories and tabletop products.
Carolyn Walters Fox, Full Moon Collection’s founder and owner adds, “Myanmar’s lacquerware and textiles is recognized throughout the design world as distinctive and sophisticated. With the trend of incorporating more global influence and mixing elements, retailers and decorators will find these handcrafted items an inspired addition.”
