HMC FARMS LAUNCHES NEW SCHOOL RESOURCES
“Grapes For Schools” website and social media accounts focus on increasing
children’s access to healthy and delicious fresh fruit

Kingsburg, CA – August 15, 2018 – HMC Farms is excited to announce the launch of a new
school-focused website at http://www.grapesforschools.com , as well as new Facebook and
Instagram accounts to support the “Grapes For Schools” page.

The site is designed to act as resource for everyone involved in the process of feeding students:
From foodservice directors and produce distributors, to parents, teachers, and the students
themselves. These new online tools were designed to showcase how easy it can be to provide
students with the delicious HMC Farms grapes that they love. Some features include
informational videos on HMC Farms and their products, pack style overviews and nutritional
specs, interactive cost comparisons, and classroom resources.

”I absolutely love the new website from HMC Farms!” said Lucretia Hertzock, Supervisor of
School Nutrition for St. Martin Parish School District. “The fun packaging and eye-catching, juicy
grapes make my mouth water. I can't wait for my students to try this product. HMC Farms'
grapes are a delicious fit for my school district.”

ABOUT HMC FARMS

HMC Farms are growers of grapes and tree fruit located in California’s San Joaquin Valley. They
pioneered grapes for schools with the introduction of Lunch Bunch® portioned grapes in 1979.
Since then, they have expanded their offerings with their ready-to-eat Grape Escape® single
serve bags and bulk packs. Their mission for school foodservice is simple: Offer grapes in
formats that make them easier to serve, in order to increase kids’ access to healthy, fresh fruit.
The “Grapes For Schools” website and social media aim to spread this message to schools
across the country.
“Schools have been the primary focus of our grape business for more than 30 years. From day
one, we have looked for ways that we could make it easier for schools to serve grapes,” said
Steve Kenfield, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for HMC Farms. “Our
new website will help us accelerate our learning, and provide a tool to better communicate the
products and services that HMC Farms offers School Foodservice professionals.”
