The Industry dates back to the early 50s and this kind of mesh was used for couch lining and book’ covers then. With time new products were created, new specialty fabrics for couches and a variety of special paper, plastics and other products replaced the cotton mesh. From the 70s till the end of the 80s, it was strongly used in frames for wedding dresses, garlands and veils. It was also used as gauze in a softer and opened version. From the 90s on, more artificial products began to be used in the bridal Market, dresses were not so structured anymore, so a new market was opened to the ecological cotton mesh.
