JA Maroon is a UK company, based in London making unique print designs on greeting cards and t-shirts. The theme of the company is to incorporate and enhance family, community, love, loyalty, friendship and to celebrate and support emotions which arise in all relationships and interactions. The purpose of JA Maroon was initially to provide cards with meaningful inserts that would be special to the recipient as some communities value the words in the cards over the image. Also in some cultures, bereavement is a bigger occasion than any other and these emotions were not being catered for in the greeting card market. We are especially proud of our inserts that thank people for their support after a bereavement and we had had much wonderful feedback and thanks from these.
However we found in reverse to this that a number of outlets indicated that their customers preferred their cards blank. To accommodate these opposing factors, the image on the card was made with simplicity, to be available for a number of uses, depending on the individual purchaser. JA Maroon subscribes to the philosophy of Henry David Thoreau in that 'it is not what you look at that matters, it's what you see'. Hence our cards are not limited in their usage by having text on the front to convey 'birthday' or any other occasion; we allow the customer to use the image for the purpose they want to convey to the recipient and thus, one image for one person speaks differently to another person.
JA Maroon cards are sold blank or with an inserts of emotive verses, written by the owner or expressing the wisdom of proverbs. Either way, blank or with an insert, JA Maroon cards are exceptional to the market place and highly desireable for any recipient. Our customers have often taken our cards to be framed as prints in the home and workplace and requested enlarged copies of prints for such. All our cards are hand printed individually and we are able to enlarge prints upto A2 size, on request. We also provide a bespoke service to write inserts to tailor for individual customer's requests.
