Kahua Expands Subcontractor Solution with Acquisition of Industry Leader Project DocControl

Acquisition will bring powerful new solutions to The Kahua Network to improve subcontractor productivity and profitability.

Atlanta – August 30, 2017 – Kahua, the provider of the world’s leading collaborative network for real estate and construction project management, announced today that it has acquired Project DocControl, a leading provider of project management solutions specifically designed for subcontractors. The acquisition of Project DocControl further enhances Kahua’s offerings for subcontractors and will enable them to streamline internal processes, better collaborate and operate more efficiently.

Delivered as an Application Platform-as-a-Service (aPaaS), The Kahua Network provides collaborative project management solutions that enable more effective communication throughout the entire lifecycle of capital projects. Kahua helps the world’s largest owners, contractors, architects and engineers integrate the construction supply chain to profitably deliver the highest performance capital assets at the lowest possible cost.

“The Kahua Network is all about delivering value to every project participant,” said Brian Moore, President of Kahua. “Subcontractors are a critical member of the construction supply chain. When we looked at ways to enhance our existing solutions for subcontractors, Project DocControl was the obvious choice.”

“Kahua is streamlining the way that project teams work together to deliver capital assets,” said Jeff Burmeister, President, Project DocControl. “We have been passionately dedicated to improving productivity for subcontractors for over 20 years, and The Kahua Network creates a unique opportunity for us to further that mission.

We are thrilled to be a part of the Kahua team.”

“We’ve always talked about collaboration, but as an industry we’ve never really done it well,” said Richard Bright, Chief Operating Officer of the American Subcontractors Association. “This acquisition creates the opportunity to change that. The Kahua Network enables a single collaborative network that serves owners, GC’s, subcontractors and suppliers and will reduce conflict and improve efficiency. It’s going to have a big impact on our industry.”
