ROCHESTER, NY — April 18, 2017 — Navitar, a global leader in projection optics technology, announces two new additions to their high lumen projection lenses. These solutions have been developed specifically for DLP-based projectors used in premier digital cinema, amusement and planetarium applications. The company currently has over 500 lenses installed into these applications.
“Navitar high lumen lenses provide excellent contrast ratios, withstand continual thermal cycles through on/off routines, and achieve contrast ratios in excess of 400:1. These lenses work with traditional Xenon based light engines up to 40K ANSI lumens as well 6P platforms up to 60K ANSI lumens,” comments Michael Thomas, President of Navitar.
Navitar has added two new high lumen lens models, the HM4K-178 HL and the HMR113 HL, to their off-the-shelf HemiStar® lens line. These lenses pair with projectors such as Barco DP4K-32B and HDQ-4K35, Christie D4K3560, Roadie HD+35K and Boxer 4K30, as well as Digital Projection INSIGHT 4K QUAD and INSIGHT LASER 4K.
Many installations such as flying theaters and dark rides with motion-based projection use 4K Ultra HD projection and require intense brightness levels, contrast ratios, and continuous operation.
