2018 RFID Journal Live

Visit Booth #1003: “ThingMagic, a JADAK brand” for new product demos and much more!

SYRACUSE, N.Y. April 9th, 2018 — JADAK, a business unit of Novanta Corporation, is once again exhibiting at RFID Journal Live from April 10-12th in Orlando, FLA, in Booth #1003.  JADAK’s ThingMagic has one of the industry’s widest arrays of Ultra High Frequency (UHF) RAIN RFID products and Near Field Communications (NFC) High Frequency (HF) RFID products and the company will be displaying this breadth at this show.

ThingMagic IZAR
The Highlight: JADAK will be demoing the recently launched ThingMagic IZAR, its newest 4-port RAIN Ultra-High Frequency (UHF) RFID finished reader. ThingMagic IZAR is a compact, programmable, network-attached reader with both read and write capability. Designed for medical, retail, and transportation customers who need to implement a high-performing RFID system while minimizing engineering costs, this fixed mount reader is ready to use out-of-the-box and easy to integrate for customers with limited design capability. At +31.5 dBm, ThingMagic IZAR is powerful enough to allow on-reader applications and processes, increasing efficiency and eliminating the need for additional processors which streamlines the system footprint and bill of materials.

Common Language Across Products
To showcase the breadth of JADAK’s RFID product line, from hardware to software, the company will be demoing their proprietary Mercury API software at the RFID Journal Live Show. All ThingMagic UHF RFID products, including ThingMagic IZAR, employ the same architecture and universal firmware called Mercury API. So for existing Mercury6 or Sargas customers, migration to IZAR is seamless, as Mercury API permits a common language across all ThingMagic UHF RFID devices. The same applies to customers migrating from ThingMagic UHF finished readers to ThingMagic UHF embedded modules – this common language allows portability of existing software, thereby reducing software design costs and accelerating time to market.

The company will also be demoing RAINstream, ThingMagic’s optional add-on software that streamlines data transfer by allowing direct transfer of tag data to backend systems via several alternative protocols, eliminating the need for interpretation code at the host or server.
