Lockrack is the revolutionary and remarkably easy to use rack system that eliminates the use of straps to secure a watercraft to your vehicle, whether it’s a kayak or board. Relying on curved arms to secure watercraft to the roof rack, the Lockrack allows the user to slide their equipment into place, secure them all via a ratcheting mechanism with an audible snap, and you’re ready to travel. There is no longer a need to carry straps and spin intricate webs in attempting to lash your boards or boats to the roof. Instead, you simply rack, snap and go.
The concept behind the design is beautifully simple. By capturing your board or kayak between the arms, they are effectively pinned against the base of the rack. Sliding the outboard arm in against the craft like a clamp produces a secure grip aided by the rubber coatings of the arms and base. Because of their curved design, the arms create both lateral and down force to secure watercraft in place, while not affecting the water crafts integrity.
As one might expect from the namesake, the Lockrack ratchet always locks to prevent theft and provide added peace of mind. Unlike straps that can be cut or come undone, Lockrack is made of forged and machined metal that once locked, creates the most secure roof transportation system available. The unit comes with four keys for locking and unlocking the ratcheting arm securing your craft.
Lockrack is made from corrosion-resistant, 100-percent virgin materials. These materials ensure a long life for the rack and withstand saltwater and elements encountered in the great outdoors. The non marking rubber used at all four points of contact helps keep your watercraft safe from abrasions and damage that can arise from straps. The bases can be mounted to any crossbar. They come with T-bolt hardware for crossbars that have the capability and can otherwise be used with an adaptor that will attach the base to any factory crossbar.
