New for Spring ’18:  Oboz Introduces Freeflow Sandals
Campster and Confluence styles are ultralight and built for comfort

For Spring ’18, Oboz will introduce sandals, a new category of footwear for the ten-year old Bozeman, Montana-based company. The Freeflow Sandals line features two innovative styles that capitalize on Oboz’ experience in creating trail-worthy footwear that prioritizes fit, comfort and support.   The sandals offer a unique and very light approach to designs that are highly functional and can also let feet chill out after hiking, biking, climbing or any activity.

Campster – for men and women

The Campster ($90 MSRP) is at the ready, clipped to your pack to slip on after a long day on the trail, climbing at the crag, or anytime your feet need a break.   The woven webbing creates a lightweight upper that promotes air circulation yet also offers a comfortable, soft fit around the foot.  A pivoting heel strap can be worn forward for slipper-like ease or behind the heel for a secure fit for wandering around camp. Stubbed toes are fended off by a rubber toe cap, and underneath, the shaped EVA footbed cushions and supports the arches of the foot for exceptional comfort.  Finally, the high traction, non-marking Salida outsole combines rubber and rubber-infused EVA to save weight.  For men and women in three colors each.

Confluence – for women

The quick-drying Confluence for women ($95 MSRP) is amphibious for in- and out-of-the water adventures.  Two straps, made of durable polyester webbing, adjust across the foot to secure the fit and hold of the open design, which features mesh along the sides and across the toe.  The Confluence floats, drains readily and is exceptionally light.   Oboz’ O FIT™ system works to support and cushion the feet.  Its dual density midsole is textured and anti-microbial to prevent slip and odor build-up. For traction in and around lakes and rivers, the lugged Salida outsole gives reliable traction and combines rubber and lightweight EVA.  Three colors for women.

Oboz’ Women’s Main Street to Mountains Collection are designed for women’s feet, style and versatility for town and trail

For Spring 2018, Oboz’ new ‘Main Street to Mountains’ collection for women features versatile styles that aim to balance a refined, fashionable look with features that are trail ready and capable. To design the collection, Oboz considered the anatomical and biomechanical differences of women’s feet, ankles and legs to create a new fit system from the ground up.  The expansion builds on Oboz’ success in women’s products; in 2016 the company’s top selling style was for ladies and women’s products account for nearly half of Oboz’ sales.

Sapphire Mid Waterpqroof | Sapphire Low Waterproof

Ladies, this boot is designed for you, with a women’s-specific fit and style. Oboz’ versatile Sapphire Mid Waterproof (MSRP $160) was created from the ground up using a new last that is tailored for improved comfort for everyday wear, travel or on trail. Its asymmetrical collar comforts offset anklebones that can be accentuated in women and the boot height accommodates women’s calves, which are typically lower.  Soft nubuck leather, lined with Oboz’ B-DRY waterproof breathable membrane, keep feet dry through street puddles or streams.  Underneath, the Sapphire’s low profile midsole and outsole cushions, protects and provides grip on the trail without extra bulk. Two colors.

The Sapphire Low Waterproof (MSRP $140) also prioritizes fit and performance for women in a supple leather shoe. Like the Mid, it has an easy-flexing three-part midsole and also includes Oboz’ highly supportive O FIT Insole™ that supports all the arches of the foot. Three colors available.

Juniper Mid Waterproof | Juniper Low

At the heart of the Juniper Mid Waterproof  (MSRP $145) is Oboz’ O FIT Insole, which is contoured to the women’s-specific last and all the other components in the light boot.  Abrasion-resistant textile is combined with nubuck leather and Oboz’ B-DRY waterproof breathable membrane. The collar is lined with soft glove leather and its offset detailing adds extra comfort. Easy lacing eyelets and the pliant materials of this conform readily to the foot for an excellent fit that helps give stability on the trail. Two colors.

The Juniper Low (MSRP $115) offers the same features of the boot, but in a highly breathable, non-waterproof shoe that is lightweight and sure-footed on the sidewalk and in the hills beyond. Swiftcurrent outsole and midsole provides traction, cushion and protection in a sleek package.  Two colors.

Wind River III: New boot for backpacking prioritizes stability and support but sheds weight
For Spring ’18, Oboz engineered a complete makeover of its successful Wind River II boot for backpacking and hiking.

Wind River III Waterproof – for men and women

The new Wind River III ($210 MSRP) is a technical boot that will handle the toughest treks and long adventures with a loaded pack.  Underfoot, Oboz designed a new asymmetrical internal-external TPU chassis that cups and centers the heel and gives the boot exceptional lateral stability.  The rockered shape and upturned toe results in an easy, natural gait on the trail.  Two materials optimize cushioning: a cored out polyurethane plug under the heel is lighter and long lasting and under the forefoot, the EVA midsole comforts every step. The rugged outsole features deep 4.5 mm directional lugs and an embedded topo map of Wyoming’s storied Wind River mountain range.

On top, Oboz combines a breathable mesh upper that readily conforms to the midfoot for a secure fit and hold. Nubuck leather, alongside a rubber toe cap, wraps the boot for excellent sidewall durability.  The entire upper is waterproof, using Oboz’ B DRY membrane that keeps water out but lets feet breathe.   Finally, inside, Oboz’ signature O FIT insole supports all the arches of the foot and features multiple densities of EVA to create its sculpted arch and heel as well as two zones of cushioning that enhance comfort.
