Recognized for five years straight as top employer for veterans
For the fifth year in a row, Forbes magazine has recognized Booz Allen Hamilton as a Top 15 Employer for Veterans. In 2016, the firm again takes fourth place, representing the Weapons and Security industry. Other categories on the list include Aerospace and Engineering, and Information Technology.
To determine the top employers for veterans, Forbes worked with compensation information site Payscale.com to develop a ranking of companies that hire the most veterans for work in which military experience is highly relevant. All the employers on the “Top 15” list exclusively offer skilled labor positions (many of the country’s largest companies, particularly retailers, employ more veterans than the organizations that appear here, but in unskilled capacities).
“One of Booz Allen’s greatest points of pride is our longstanding commitment to veterans and military families who are represented in our workforce, among our clients and in the communities where we live,” said Executive Vice President and Chief Personnel Officer Betty Thompson. “Nearly 50 of our most senior leaders and one third of our employees have served our country.”
