TSI Semiconductors Hosted Congressman McClintock

Roseville, CA – May 30, 2017:  International semiconductor technology developer and production volume CMOS foundry company, TSI Semiconductors (TSI), opened its normally closed, secure campus/laboratories to host U.S. Representative Tom McClintock (CA-04), and key post-secondary education leaders, on Tuesday, May 30, 2017.

Launching the event at 3:00 pm at TSI Corporate headquarters (7501 Foothills Blvd., Roseville, CA, 95747), TSI lead Congressman McClintock and other attendees on rare tours of its semiconductor research and manufacturing facilities; and executed demonstrations of its robotic, clean room, fabrication and other key technical operations; to illustrate the many Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) education-related skills/jobs TSI requires for effective operations.

The event demonstrated practical examples of successful, “Classroom-to-Career” education programs regional colleges lead (including Sacramento State University and Sierra College), in partnership with TSI, to prepare students for success in the future workplace.

TSI Semiconductors employs 460+ people in Roseville, CA fabricating eight-inch semiconductor wafers/products; providing an array of versatile process technologies, including analog/mixed-signal, deep-submicron, and high-voltage BCDMOS.

TSI’s specialized foundry services include automotive-grade, high-voltage BCDMOS; and technology capabilities utilizing novel materials, structures, and devices.

TSI Semiconductors is the last semiconductor /manufacturing fabrication facility in Northern California –thus making the Sacramento Valley (especially South Placer County) more “Silicon Valley”, than “Silicon Valley”!
