In conjunction with North Carolina State University's College of Textiles, Liquid X has been using its particle free ink for inkjet printing directly onto polyester based textiles and nonwovens. The particle free ink penetrates the fabric and provides a continuous coating down to the fibers of the fabric. Wicking has been reduced to the point that lines down to 2 mm in width can successfully be printed. A sheet resistance of 0.1-.3 ohms/sq. has been achieved on polyester based knit and nonwoven fabrics.
