Gumuchian introduces the Tiny Hearts collection

New York, NY – Gumuchian quietly debuted their “Tiny Hearts” collection on March 2nd, 2017 to a room celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the Babies Heart Fund for Columbia Medical Center. The dinner was held at the Pierre Hotel in New York City. The head designer, Patricia Gumuchian, has a long-standing relationship with Columbia Medical Center, first as a parent, then as a board member and now as a philanthropist.

The new collection features an intricate heart motif and is manufactured in 18K gold, with and without diamonds. Whether you want to wear your heart on your sleeve or around your neck, Tiny Hearts is comprised of rings, pendants, and bracelets. The collection also includes a staple of the Gumuchian style with the station wrap necklace. Tiny diamonds are delicately set to accent the design. Each piece is crafted in their New York City atelier with fine attention to detail.

The Gumuchian brand is no stranger to giving back. The “B” Collection raises awareness and money for the declining bee population and environmental issues. Now the Tiny Hearts Collection will honor the Babies Heart Fund within the Pediatric Cardiology Department at the Columbia Medical Center. Partial proceeds from sales will be donated to further their invaluable, lifesaving work.

Patricia knows the Babies Heart Fund’s mission firsthand, which she shared with the room at the 30th Anniversary in March and brought many to tears. “They say cats have nine lives and humans one...Not quite true when you get a devoted team of doctors from Columbia Presbyterian to fight for your child’s life. My daughter Katya is onto her 8th life. After 2 open heart surgeries, 30 visits to the OR, 10 months in the PICU and seven cardiac arrests; with a team of 26 doctors, her life was saved. She went on to develop as normal a child as her twin. Graduated Valedictorian from her High School, went on to Harvard to earn a double degree and is now dedicating her time working for a nonprofit organization. I am proud of her accomplishments as she never takes a day for granted; she “earned “it! Of course, Columbia will always have a huge place in my heart and that is why I am honored to be chairing this year’s Gala.” – Patricia Gumuchian. The official launch to the industry is scheduled for Couture in Las Vegas this June.
