ColdPruf to Introduce Four New Styles at OR Winter Market and the SIA Snow Show

New Styles Reflect Commitment to Performance, Quality and Value

Yadkinville, NC – November 17, 2016 – ColdPruf Base Layer, a manufacturer of performance base layers, will introduce four new styles for winter 2017-2018 at the Outdoor Retailer Winter Market 2017 in Salt Lake City, UT and at the SIA Snow Show 2017 in Denver, CO.

The new Zephyr styles for men and women feature ColdPruf® Technical Fiber Polyester with SILVADUR™ Intelligent Freshness and a mini-waffle knit that provides excellent moisture management properties, warmth and long-lasting odor control on the fabric. The men’s crew features mesh inserts under the arms to provide additional ventilation during high intensity activities in cold weather such as alpine or Nordic skiing, winter hiking, snowshoeing or climbing. The athletic cut and drop tail prevents riding up and the flat seams, self-fabric sleeve cuffs and a tagless design ensure all-day comfort. The women’s crew features a racerback mesh insert and longer sleeves with mesh thumbholes, extended body, flat seams, and a tagless design.

The men’s and women’s Zephyr bottoms are constructed with the same ColdPruf® Technical Fiber Polyester with SILVADUR™ Intelligent Freshness and mini-waffle knit as the tops. The men’s bottoms feature a mesh insert in the fly and thigh gussets that provide additional ventilation and superior fit, front and back rise and a comfort waistband. The women’s leggings feature a yoga-style waistband, a mesh venting insert starting at the shin and wrapping behind the knee along with front and back rise to keep the leggings in place in all activities. Both the men’s and women’s styles have an athletic cut, flat seams, hemmed cuffs and tagless design to ensure all- day comfort. MSRP for each of the Zephyr styles is $20.00.

“Our new Zephyr line really represents ColdPruf’s commitment to providing our customers with performance, quality and value,” states ColdPruf VP of Sales and Marketing Peggy Denomme. “The cost of technical winter clothing has trended upwards the last few years and we felt it was important to introduce new base layers styles that perform as well, if not better, then our competitors at a fraction of the price.”

For 2017-2018 ColdPruf, will add two new styles just for men, the Men’s Platinum II and the Men’s Journey. The Men’s Platinum II styles are engineered with ColdPruf’s dual-layer insulation system that traps warm air between layers. The interior material is ColdPruf’s proprietary ColdPruf Technical Fiber™ performance polyester and the exterior is a ColdPruf Technical Fiber™ performance polyester / Merino wool blend that delivers superior moisture management, rapid drying and warmth. SILVADUR™ Intelligent Freshness antimicrobial technology provides durable, long lasting odor control on the fabric. The pants feature a comfort waistband, a darted fly and a wide back gusset that follow a man’s natural shape and ensure the pants stays in place no matter the activity. The crew features a dropped tail and comfort ribbed cuffs and both the top and bottoms have flat seams and a tagless design to prevent chaffing. MSRP is $28.00 for regular sizes and $34.00 for big and tall sizes.

The Men’s Journey styles are constructed with a 5 oz. ColdPruf Technical Performance Polyester fleece with SILVADUR™ Intelligent Freshness that provides excellent warmth and durable, long lasting odor control on the fabric. The Journey crew and bottoms have outstanding moisture management properties making them ideal when used as a primary base layer for stop and go activities like alpine skiing and winter hiking and they provide excellent insulation when used as a mid-layer during static activities in cold weather such as hunting, ice fishing or working around camp. The crew and bottoms feature a modern fit, comfort ribbed cuffs, flatlock seams and tagless design. MSRP for regular sizes is $17.50 and $19.00 for big and tall sizes.

“The Journey and Platinum II styles continue to reflect our commitment to performance, quality and value and add a degree of versatility for the consumer,” notes Denomme. “Each of the functions well as a traditional base layer but they can also double as an insulating mid-layer when used as part of a layering system when dressing for extreme cold.”

Media are invited to stop by the ColdPruf booth (#34093) during ORWM '17 and view the entire collection of ColdPruf performance base layers.
