Revolwe™ Makes Significant Progress in its Mission to Reduce Ocean Waste
Eco-friendly Surf Company Takes Part at Surf Expo Orlando, FL
USA: Today, Revolwe, a surf company producing a sustainable and eco-friendly surf leash, announced that they are taking part at the Surf Expo Orlando, FL. The company looks forward to the exhibition, which is a great opportunity to educate people on its ambitious mission of using waste as a resource to create environmentally friendly surf products.
Revolwe produces the world’s most sustainable surf leash, using a unique combination of Yulex® and recycled fabric made from PET-bottles. By replacing conventional neoprene with Yulex®, the company is able to reduce CO2 emissions by 80% compared to conventional leash cuff. In addition, for every leash produced, the use of post-consumer PET-bottles reduces energy consumption with 3000 BTUs, which is equivalent to 1/10 of a liter of gasoline. Revolwe believes that the product is the first of many steps towards cleaner oceans.
