Talk with USDA’s New Deputy Administrator for the Specialty Crops Program About Services for the Produce Industry

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) new Deputy Administrator for the Specialty Crops Program Sonia Jimenez will be available to the media at the 2017 PMA Fresh Summit Convention and Expo on Friday to introduce herself and provide information about the programs and services offered by the Specialty Crops Program. Deputy Administrator Jimenez took the wheel of the program on Sept. 17, 2017.

Join her Oct. 20 from 1-1:30 p.m. in Room 344, between Halls D through F. This session is open to all media registered for the convention. 

The Specialty Crops Program is part of USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service. The program helps buyers and sellers of all sizes market fresh and processed fruits and vegetables, tree nuts, and horticultural, floral and forest products in the most efficient manner. It offers a wide array of services that help market the quality of products and empower specialty crops growers and handlers to overcome marketing barriers.
