Broward County, FL – The Find It Now USA (FIN®) theft recovery team was advised of a theft in progress on a 2015 Suzuki GSXR1000 motorcycle.
Utilizing the FIN® GPS security device installed on the motorcycle at purchase, along with state-of-the-art software and tracking tools, the motorcycle owner and a FIN® vehicle recovery expert were able to immediately track the stolen motorcycle in real-time.
While tracking, the Miami police department also contacted the FIN® theft recovery call center.
Responding deputies were provided details of when and where the bike had been, stops it made, and updates on current speed and heading. As other jurisdictions got involved, the police departments communicated between themselves until they obtained visual confirmation of a truck with the stolen motorcycle in it’s bed.
They were able to quickly obtain the license plate number before the truck sped away, attempting to elude the responding officers. After surveilling the truck owners residence, the Broward County Sheriff’s Office recovered the stolen Suzuki, and while on scene, found 7 additional motorcycles, which were later verified to be stolen as well.
