MONROVIA, CA - Following the success of last year¹s Good Works

social media contest, World Pet Association (WPA), the producers

of SuperZoo, North America¹s leading pet retail trade exposition and conference, have announced that the contest will run once again in 2017. The winners, to be announced during SuperZoo 2017, which this year will return to the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, Las Vegas, July 25-27, (with conference sessions July 24- 26), will receive a prize of $1,000 donated to a charity of their choice. This year we will also be offering a second place prize of

$500 and a third place prize of $250, again in the form of donations to the charities of the winners¹ choice.

As in 2016, the contest rules are simple: Commencing June 12 contestants should post a photograph on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram of their pet business doing ŒGood Works¹ for their community, tagging SuperZoo and using the hashtag

#WPAGoodWorks by 5:00 PM PST on July 12.

³The theme for SuperZoo 2017 is ŒBetter Together,¹ and what better way to illustrate this than showcasing business owners in our industry going above and beyond and performing good works in their communities,² comments Doug Poindexter, president of WPA. ³Last year, the Good Works contest provided a wealth of heartwarming stories that reinforced the value of the pet industry to local communities. We hope this year¹s entries will take inspiration from some of those submissions.²
