Suncrest Supply is pleased to announce the availability of authentic hand scraping service for unfinished engineered and solid hardwood flooring that is 100% crafted by hand here in America at our facility in Kershaw, South Carolina.
Suncrest Supply, Inc. has partnered with the South Carolina Department of Corrections (SCDC) as part of their Division of Industries’ Prison Industry Enhancement Certification Program (PIECP) which is mandated by the Department of Justice. These programs are completely self-supporting, providing valuable training for the inmates while generating funding for the South Carolina Department of Corrections. Inmates employed in these programs must also contribute to victim's programs, family support, room & board and pay state and federal taxes.
Our hand-scraping creates a rustic and beautiful antique look, which is scraped in varying depths and widths either with the grain or across the grain. As you know, on-site hand-scraping is a very labor-intensive process to create hand-scraped floors. We have over 50 experience workers that have custom hand scraped wood floors for some of the most respected wood floor businesses in North America. We are committed to providing American made consistently high quality products.
I was hired by Suncrest Supply to manage and direct this business venture. I joined Suncrest Supply, Inc from Columbia Forest Products and Mohawk Industries with 14 years of experience in manufacturing of plywood, engineered, and solid hardwood flooring. I have experience in managing new product development, and implementation of hand scraped products at engineered and solid wood flooring manufacturing facilities. I believe in the concept that quality is built in, not graded out.
