Agellis Group AB has received an order for the supply of a LadleSafe system. The order, from a leading global steel producer, applies to a stainless steel plant in Europe.
The LadleSafe system is designed to monitor ladles and alarm if the equipment shows external hot spots or ladle lining damage. The system minimizes the risk of ladle breakouts, improves safety for operating personnel and optimizes the utilization of the refractories in the ladle fleet.
Ladle breakouts are costly and can cause severe damage to equipment, personnel and the production chain. Avoiding breakouts is an important safety topic to address for any modern steel producer.

Delivery and installation is expected to be made during the first quarter of 2017.
Agellis LadleSafe system uses a vison-based platform (VISIR) with a wide range of thermographic cameras together with unique user software and server solutions.
