Lieutenant General Michael T. Flynn Appointed Vice Chairman of Drone Aviation

- Highly Decorated Army Intelligence Officer Joins Company’ Strategic Advisory Board to Support Product Marketing and Development Activities -

 

JACKSONVILLE, FL – May 4, 2016 – Drone Aviation Holding Corp. (OTCQX: DRNE) (“DAC” or “Drone Aviation”), a manufacturer of tethered drones and lighter-than-air aerostats today announced Lt. General Michael T. Flynn (Ret.) has joined the Company as Vice Chairman of its Board of Directors, bringing with him over three decades of military and national intelligence leadership expertise. In this new role, Lt. Gen. Flynn will work with Drone Aviation’s growing list of Department of Defense (“DoD”), government agency and commercial customers to harness the unique data collection, communications and surveillance capabilities of the Company’s tethered tactical aerostat and drone platforms. General Flynn has also joined Drone Aviation’s Strategic Advisory Board, which is composed of Jay Nussbaum, the Company’s newly appointed Chief Executive Officer and Chairman, Dr. Phillip Frost, the Company’s principal investor and Steven Rubin, where he will advise on business development and product capabilities, advancements and applications.

Lieutenant General Michael T. Flynn (Ret.) served in the United States Army for more than 33 years. His career includes serving as the Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, Commander of the Joint Functional Component Command for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance, and Chair of the Military Intelligence Board. Earlier, he served as Assistant Director of National Intelligence. He has also served in a number of operational roles, with numerous combat arms, conventional and special operations senior intelligence assignments and also served as the senior intelligence officer for the Joint Special Operations Command. Lt. General Flynn is a published author, speaker, and media personality, with numerous articles, OPEDs, and interviews appearing in various U.S. and international media outlets. His first book, published by St. Martin’s Press, is due out early Summer 2016 and is titled, The Field of Fight, How We Can Win The Global War Against Radical Islam and Its Allies.

 

Lt. General Flynn graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Science degree in management science in 1981 and was commissioned a distinguished military graduate through the Reserve Officers' Training Corps. He also holds three master's degrees and two honorary doctorates. He is the recipient of the US Intelligence Community’s Gold Seal Medallion, the Service to America Award from the Federal Law Enforcement Foundation, the Ellis Island Medal of Honor, the US Coast Guard Distinguished Public Service Award, the 2015 William Casey Medal of Honor and the first non-Navy recipient of the distinguished RADM Edwin T. Layton Award, as well as numerous other medals and awards for his service to nation. Lt. General Flynn is frequently called upon to testify to Congress on a variety of national security related matters. He has also lectured at numerous colleges and universities to include Duke, Harvard, Cambridge, Dartmouth, and Yale.
