Spotlight on Dolphon® and Damival® Polybutadiene Technology
Von Roll, a recognized global leader in electrical insulation and protection and systems, is proud to announce the extension of the Dolphon® and Damival® families as part of its commitment to the automotive and electrical industries. Advancements in polybutadiene potting resins at Von Roll Technology Centers reveal that polybutadiene resins can lower material costs, improved moisture and chemical resistance and provide superior adhesion when compared to silicones. Dolphon® and Damival® resins have also been developed with heightened degrees of thermal conductivity at our Technology Centers in Meyziou, France and Schenectady, NY.
Dolphon® and Damival® products, developed at Von Roll Technology Centers in Meyzieu and Schenectady, offer the highest degrees of thermal conductivity and remain flexible from -50 to 150C. Polybutadiene resins have low exotherm, shrinkage, and pot lives from minutes to hours, allowing application and processing flexibility. The green aspect results in a safe, non-toxic, odor-free work environment.
We offer products which are free of MDI (Methyledediphenol Diisocyanate) and other CMR (Carcinogenic, mutagenic, reprotoxic) substances and are RoHS compliant. Halogen free options are also available.
Lower material cost than silicone, polybutadiene resins can offer a substantial material cost savings. With a broad range of pot life and viscosities available, manufacturers are able to tailor the resins to their applications. With proper selection, materials will result in a safer and non- toxic plant with increased throughput in an odor free environment. Engineers depend on the reliability from corrosion and moisture resistance.
