Size does matter - the small 5

No matter what people say, size does trully matter. For some applications, the miniature size of the sensor is even crucial. Let us introduce you to our SMALL 5.

Small 5 number one: Potentiometer 10HP-10

Full name: the smallest multi-turn potentiometer in the world
Dimensions mm: Φ10.5×19.2
Standard resistance range (ohm): 100-50k
His forte:  The smallest multi-turn potentiometer for position measurement in narrow spaces.

Small 5 number two: Stringpot FDM150

Full name: The smallest Draw wire Sensor
Dimensions: 19 x 19 x 10mm
Measurement range: 0 to 38.1mm
His forte: This tiny string pot has an extremely durable construction and a high degree of reliability.
You will find him in: tiny spaces. He is the perfect position sensing solution for a variety of applications such as biomedical, robotics, aerospace testing and in the automotive.

Small 5, number three: Joystick H25JB

Full name: The smallest hall effect joystick
Dimensions: Φ 25mm
Application examples: Remote controllers and on a control panel of a machine dashboard

Small 5, number four: Fiber Optic OSP

Full name: Fiber Optic Strain Gauge OSP
Dimensions: As small as a 9mm single hair
His forte: Temperature operating range between -40 °C and +250 °C
Immune to high voltage, EMI, electrical interference. Intrinsically safe. Long cable runs & Long term monitoring. For both weldable as adhesive bonding.
Ideal for: measurement in harsh environments, space-constrained applications such as intelligent loadcells, bolts and studs.
You will find him in: T&M, OEM-type applications. Perfectly for measuring change in dimension due to stress, moving load, creep, temperature change, moisture change or chemical growth.

Small 5, number five: Fiber Optic OPP-B

Full name: Fiber Optic Pressure Sensor OPP-B
Dimensions: Φ 2,5mm!
His forte:  This pressure sensor is MEMS-based and especially designed for demanding applications. It has long term accuracy, low drift, is durable and perfect for high fidelity pressure measurement.
You will find him in: the harshest environments in applications subject to  such as in applications subject to high voltages, high temperatures, RFI,  EMI and combustives/explosives.
