Vibrant monumental sculptures

Prescott's  monumental sculptures are larger-than-life steel animals that are engineered to move in the wind.  Their sheer size and vibrant colors make them crowd-pleasers, and when their heads start moving in the breeze, viewers are fascinated by the sight of giant steel animals, appearing to come alive before their eyes!

Everything surrounding him serves as a constant inspiration to Fredrick Prescott.  The vibrant colors that find their way into his sculptures are drawn from the distinctively electric palette of the contemporary world.  The artist’s pieces reflect the half-real, half-fantastic images that are a tangible example of the joy and humor he finds in all that he observes.

The sculptures invariably make a huge statement on the landscape they live upon. Welded contoured lines enhance the natural curves of the animal’s bodies, while giving each form a marvelously graphic impact. Ingeniously designed with sculptural methods that have been perfected over time, each animal is an individual. Through variations on size, body contours, colors and patina, no two are alike.  Prescott's work is created in his 24,000 sq ft studio in Santa Fe, NM.
