World Premiere: Maurer Rides presents Spike® Racing

The Maurer Rides booth at this year’s EAS exhibition (Barcelona 20.-22.9.2016, booth No. 1802) is completely dedicated to the new Spike® technology. The gear technology driven Spike® vehicles accelerate to approx. 1g and that along the entire track. Whether tight curves, hills, troughs or twists – it doesn’t matter, the vehicle brakes beforehand and then accelerates back out with its full engine power. Visit us at our EAS booth and let us show you the incredible new opportunities and attractions that Spike® offers!

New website goes online www.Spike.de

Just in time for the fair presentation the new Spike.de website also goes online. The website offers a suitable platform to illustrate the uniqueness of the Spike® systems and their incomparability to normal roller coasters. The name Spike stands for "Full Traction Transportation". With full controllability of the Spike® and precision over every centimeter as well as consistency due, launch coaster drive, there are virtually no limits to the design of new and sensational layouts. Inform yourself at Spike.de about further aspects of this fascinating technology.

Testing starts for the first Spike® rollercoaster

The Spike® technology will be used for the first time in the Allgäu Skyline Park near Munich. The name of the coaster is Sky Dragster and it is the world's first interactive Racing Coaster. With accelerations of up to 1.2g and a maximum speed of 60 km / h, it’s race against time. The drivers on the two motorcycle seats of the vehicle are seated extremely low with the rail between the legs. Secured only by the innovative belt restraint, with their hand on the gas grip to activate more than 1000 Nm of torsion, they experience the intoxication of steering a motorsport fireball through steep curves and impressive camelbacks with maximum mobility. The Sky Dragster is ready for prime presentations.

XBEND – Maurer develops machine and method for high-precision, computer-controlled 3Dfreeform bending of track tubes

With the investment in a major new bending machine, Maurer AG has succeeded in improving the bending precision of large tube diameters. The self-developed software XBEND controls the superior accuracy of the 3D freeform bending. Tube diameters of up to 406mm can be bent with this method. The Maurer AG bends the tubes for the Maurer Rides GmbH tracks, but also offers this service to other interested manufacturers.

Together with the layout development software XTRAC and automated generation of production documents with XTools , XBend provides Maurer with a sophisticated foundation for qualitatively outstanding roller coaster track manufacturing.

Join us in Barcelona – we look forward to seeing you there!
