An innovative tool that is rapidly replacing the age old contractor method of building wood templates, BOLT STAR radically improves the productivity of crews in the construction of light pole bases and round column forms. The tool is engineered to hold four anchor bolts and electrical conduits in place while supporting the rebar cage during the pour of a round concrete pole base. BOLT STAR sits directly on the concrete forming tube without supporting 2x4’s, and there is no measuring, cutting and drilling of holes in a plywood template. The structural bases are commonly specified for parking lot and outdoor area lighting, street lighting, security camera poles, street signs and flag poles.

This ensures that bolts are held securely in position while the concrete sets up, lowering the risk of costly rework due to bolts shifting out of alignment; 2) adjustable bolt slots gives contractors the flexibility to adjust to manufacturer’s bolt circle specification for a particular pole, in the field if necessary, for bolt circle patterns ranging from 7” to 14”; and 3) keeps the rebar cage centered in the concrete form.
