MorphoWaveâ„¢ Named Best New Product 2015 at SIA New Product Showcase

Anaheim, CA, April 15, 2015

Morpho (Safran), the world’s leading supplier of biometric identification and security solutions, today announced that MorphoWave™ was named Best New Product at the 2015 International Security Conference and Exposition, also known as ISC West. The Security Industry Association (SIA), host of the 2015 SIA New Product Showcase, presented MorphoWave with the Best New Product award.

MorphoWave, the market’s first biometric access solution featuring high-speed touchless fingerprint matching, was chosen for the top honor from a field of 110 entries, a record number of products to compete for SIA’s Best New Product prize.

“Each year, the companies competing in SIA’s New Product Showcase at ISC West present the leading-edge security solutions that are shaping the industry,” said SIA CEO Don Erickson. “These new technologies and solutions are the drivers that are moving the security industry forward, and I congratulate Morpho on their win at this year’s NPS.”

MorphoWave is a truly frictionless access control solution that is equally effective in both high security and high throughput applications, where users can be identified on the move without any need to stop or slow down. MorphoWave captures and matches fingerprints at high speed as the user waves a hand over the sensor. The surface of the touchless sensor remains clean through repeated scans, and reads wet and dry fingerprints without difficulty. The absence of residual latents, moisture, or transferred contaminants on the sensor contributes to the speed and accuracy of MorphoWave’s fingerprint acquisition, and Morpho’s advanced algorithms ensure unrivalled matching accuracy.

The color touchscreen incorporates an IP videophone capability, and can be programmed for time and attendance features, text messaging, customized graphics, and administrative functions. The modern design of MorphoWave and the extensive configurability of its functions make touchless identification a compelling option for government, business and commercial venues. In fact, MorphoWave has been seamlessly integrated with over 20 of the industry’s leading access control systems, adding tremendous value and security to the existing installations.

“The Best New Product award is a welcome acknowledgement of MorphoWave’s unique capabilities,” said Celeste Thomasson, President and CEO of MorphoTrak. “Touchless fingerprint matching is a winner in today’s security and efficiency-conscious markets because more people can be accurately identified in less time, compared to standard touch fingerprint matching. We are pleased to be recognized by SIA as the leader in innovative biometric technology.”
