January 2016, Munich, Germany – IPS-Intelligent Process Solutions GmbH (IPS) is proud to announces the launch of the second phase of the PDMS (Protection Data Management System) project for implementing a complete network modelling for the transmission system of Saudi Electricity Company‘s (SEC) Central, Eastern, Western and Southern operation areas.
After the successful finalization of the Kingdom-wide PDMS (Protection Data Management System) implementation until the end of 2015, IPS is starting at the beginning of 2016 into the second phase of the PDMS project at Saudi Electricity Company’s transmissions department National Grid SA.
The scope of the second phase is providing computer-aided protection engineering tools and the mapping of the existing IPS-Enterprise Protection Information System (IPS-EPIS™) to establish a complete network modelling of the company-wide transmission system in the central, eastern, western and southern operation areas of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
In this project IPS-Intelligent Process Solutions integrates the well-known technology partners Electrocon International, Inc. (EII) and Quanta Technology, LCC from USA as subcontractors. As a result IPS will finalize the world’s first and biggest project in mapping a country-wide Protection Data Management System within 12 month.
