THE WINTON MACHINE CTL 25A MAKES THE HARD CUT

Suwanee, Georgia- October 17, 2016

Winton Machine Company, located northeast of Atlanta, has announced the release of an improved wet abrasive automatic cutoff machine. The new Model CTL-25A is designed to cut hard metals with precise repeatability. Operated with a simple keypad and display, this easy-to-use machine is production ready.

“We are now shipping this system with an improved spindle bearing design.” Says George Winton, President and Lead Engineer at Winton Machine. The effect on the end user? “Longer times between maintenance intervals. This keeps the machine up and running which allows for more up time.”

Greg Madsen is a machinist at Winton Machine who often uses the CTL 25A. “The machine is fast, burr free, and very accurate,” he says, “and the thin cutting wheel means a faster cut.” Materials such as stainless and Inconel are just a few of the metals suited for this machine. The system makes use of a thin 9” diameter high speed abrasive wheel. The constant flood of coolant helps make sure the cut is clean with minimal burr.

Winton Machine Company is located in Suwanee Georgia and designs and builds tube and coax manufacturing equipment, as well as custom engineered solutions. George Winton is a PE who has over 20 years of experience designing industrial machinery.
