NEW OWNERS MARK THEIR SECOND ANNIVERSARY OF THE ACQUISITION OF GREEN VALLEY MANUFACTURING WITH EXPANSION OF PRODUCT LINES, FACILITIES, AND INDUSTRY TARGETS

September 8, 2016

On September 2, 2016, Robert Curry, President, and Jonathan Simmons, Vice-President, met with employees and reviewed their first two years of ownership and management of the 21 year old manufacturing company, known as an industry leader in custom mold and die handling equipment.  Curry focused on physical accomplishments, pointing to the purchase of the adjoining property, doubling the facility size to 31,000 sq. ft. on ten acres and fitting it with state of the art equipment, including a water jet, high definition plasma table, press brake, ironworker, and a lathe.

The new property allowed us to process more steel in house as well as remove some of the congestion from steel receiving trucks.  We’ve added several work cells allowing us to take on more projects simultaneously and meet the lead-time demands of our customers, says Curry.  We’ve also built and tested some very large equipment that may have been problematic in our previous shop layout.

The new property added several additional offices, a bonus since we are at full capacity in our original building.  The engineering, office, and production staff has grown to accommodate an increase in sales, Curry reported.

Simmons, overseeing sales, marketing, and product development, described gains in international sales, specifically Canada and Mexico; major expansion of the transporter, trailer, saw horse, and coil handling product lines; and in-roads into new markets including the forging, medical, aerospace, among others.  We have an exciting line up of customers and we enjoy developing equipment to make every day production more efficient and safer.

Simmons also was pleased to announce a new initiative into the standard product line area, after the success of the Titan Heavy Duty Sawhorses, introduced at 2015 Fabtech.  This year, Green Valley will introduce The Mini-Titan, a die cart with a capacity range of 250 lbs. to 2000 lbs. and manual mobility, optional over & under transfer decks, offering our customers a minimal lead time.  This will allow us to offer an economic solution for our customers handling smaller tools.  We feel the Mini-Titan series is much safer and faster than using a forklift or manual pump cart, says Simmons.  We’re excited to bring it to market offering several great features that built the Titan line.
