IAAPI Amusement Expo 2016 – A mega success

 

The 16th edition of Amusement Expo concluded successfully from 3rd to 5th March 2016 at Mumbai, India. IAAPI played host to India’s Premier Event on Sourcing of equipments of Amusement, Leisure and Entertainment Industry.

The event was supported by Ministry of Tourism, Government of India (Incredible India) and Chhattisgarh as Partner State promoting it capital city of Naya Raipur as amusement and entertainment hub.

The expo started with a fantastic performance, followed by speech of IAAPI’s President – Mr. Ajay Sarin and Guest of Honor - Mr. Darrell Metzger, Past Chairman, IAAPA who started his career at Disneyland in California and for the last two decades served on number of high profile roles in amusement and leisure industry in Asia and the Middle East. The event was followed by unveiling of Exhibitor Directory, Thriller magazine and the traditional lamp lighting.

Speaking at the inauguration session Mr. Metzger said that he was amazed to see the growth of Indian Amusement Industry in a short span of time which was clearly visible because of large participation from international companies from around world trying to establish its footprint in India market and SAARC countries. He further said, “I was very impressed with the professional presentation and preparation for the entire show. It is obvious that the association has many dedicated members who are convinced that IAAPI will play an important role in the long term growth of the Indian Amusement Industry.”

The B2B exhibition attracted over 3000 business visitors comprising of Owners, Directors, CEOs, Senior Managers from Amusement and Theme Parks, Water Parks and Family Entertainment Centres (FECs) along with leading Real Estate and Mall Developers, Resort and Hotel Chain, Architects and Government Officials from the tourism department. The exhibition was spread across 8000 sq. metres and had participation from 107 exhibitors from 21 countries. It is a positive sign that the world is turning towards INDIA which is gradually turning out to be Amusement and Entertainment destination.

The event witnessed the participation of exhibitors from Australia , Bulgaria, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Korea, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Philippines, Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, The Netherlands, Turkey, UAE, UK and USA.

 

 

 

This year leading companies showcased product and services from more then 100 categories from around the world which included amusement and theme park rides, s, FEC games, Skill and adventure games, All Terrain Vehicles, Architectural and Design services, Admission Systems, 3D Animation and electronics and more.

NATIONAL AWARDS FOR EXCELLENCE

IAAPI’s National Award for Excellence was held on the side line of Amusement Expo which acknowledges, felicitate and encourage innovation, new idea introduced by the amusement industry. This year the IAAPI’s Business Excellence Award was confer to Mr Ramoji Rao, founder of Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad.

IAAPI AMUSEMENT EXPO 2017

The 17th edition of IAAPI Amusement Expo is scheduled from 22nd – 24th February 2017 at Hall 5, Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai- India.
