HUNT VALLEY INN UNVEILS CULINARY RECONCEPTION

BALTIMORE (June 2, 2015) - Culminating a transformative, property-wide redesign, Hunt Valley Inn debuts newly re-imagined signature restaurant, Cinnamon Tree. The exciting dining destination offers inventive cuisine, creative cocktails and buzz-worthy special events and serves as the cornerstone of Hunt Valley Inn’s new elevated culinary program. On Sunday, June 21, 2015, Cinnamon Tree will celebrate Father’s Day with a special version of its signature Sunday Brunch. Ever-flowing champagne will accompany an array of buffet options that range from an Old Bay Shrimp Cocktail display, seasonal salads, Herb Roasted Prime Rib and Eggs Benedict with Maryland Crab to a bounty of desserts. The Father’s Day Brunch is priced at $29.95 for adults and $15.95 for children age eight and under, and will be served from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Reservations are recommended.

“We’re proud to introduce this revitalized collection of dining options,” said Martin Svigir, General Manager of Hunt Valley Inn. “Our talented culinary and design teams have thoughtfully created menus that are both inspired by our heritage yet decidedly contemporary. The new Cinnamon Tree experience is one that will continue the legacy of this lively dining destination for area residents and hotel guests alike.”

The hotel’s new culinary vision is the brainchild of Director of Food & Beverage, Abraham Rubio and Executive Chef, Patrick D’Costa. Guy Calluaud, distinguished Corporate Chef of Laurus Corporation, owners of Hunt Valley Inn, provided expert consultation on menu and recipe design.

The Cinnamon Tree is a comfortably sophisticated destination for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The main dining room celebrates the union of rustic and contemporary with touches that include dramatic glass link chandeliers, tables of dark wood, tufted banquettes and dining chairs covered in velvety smooth fabrics, in addition to walls featuring custom millwork that hint at Baltimore’s equestrian history.

A menu of American classics boasts contemporary twists in preparation techniques and seasonally-driven influences. Breakfast offerings are a balance of light and traditional fare and include energy-boosting fruit smoothies, Egg White Frittata with Spinach and Tomato, and a Pecan Waffle with Maple Syrup and Whipped Butter.

Classic Maryland staples dot the lunch menu, including She Crab Soup, Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail and a signature Crab Cake Sandwich on a Brioche Bun. For dinner, Chef D’Costa serves signature dishes including the Classic Wedge Salad, Fresh Salmon Carpaccio and Arugula Salad and Maryland Surf & Turf with Filet Mignon and Crab Cake. Craft beer, signature cocktails and a robust wine list complement the kitchen’s menu.

Three unique settings comprise Hunt Valley Inn’s new culinary program and offer a range of dining experiences from sophisticated and leisurely to grab-and-go. In addition to the Cinnamon Tree’s contemporary offerings for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the Polo Lounge & Bar is a handsome lounge serving classic spirits and craft brews alongside a tapas-style menu of Maryland-influenced bites. Café 245 is a casual coffee shop with baristas brewing Starbucks beverages and serving an array of fresh pastries, sandwiches and salads. The culinary reconception comes as part of a sweeping $15-million end-to-end redesign, that left no interior space of the hotel untouched and elevated the property’s amenities and service approach to meet the rigorous standards of the Wyndham Grand collection affiliation.

Polo Lounge & Bar

Polo Lounge & Bar is the signature cocktail club house with an oversized communal table, comfortable circle banquettes and expansive bar seating. The restaurant’s exposed brick design is splashed with sunlight that filters through a wall of floor to ceiling windows, with HDTVs streaming the latest news and sporting events. The restaurant’s distinct cocktail program is seasonally fueled with hand crafted Juleps celebrating Baltimore’s traditional racing season and refreshing Moscow Mules appearing in the summer, in addition to an established array of fine spirits. A menu of tapas-style bites is served nightly with favorite flavors such as Old Bay Fries.

Café 245

An ideal caffeination destination, Café 245 is a coffee house with a fast-casual vibe. Baristas brew a full menu of hot and cold Starbucks beverages each morning through early afternoon. A selection of fresh pastries, sandwiches and salads are available for quick and tasty nutrition on the run. Communal and private tables, multiple HDTVs broadcasting local and national news and plenty of electric outlets make Café 245 a perfect “recharging station.”
