BERG & BERG / Sodra: high quality engineered parquet from Sweden

Berg&Berg parquet is part of Sodra, Sweden – one of the most diversified and biggest wood companies in the world. Berg&Berg select their logs from their own forests and and carefully process them through sawmilling, drying and production. All production units belong to Sodra who guarantee 100 % quality control coupled with an environmental sensitivity that ensures the whole log is used, with all residues being utilized to generate the company´s energy.

Berg&Berg floor will keep its warm and elegant looks for many years to come thanks to its hardwearing surface layer (3,8 mm strong), sound construction (slow growing northern Pine middle layer) and quality surface finish.

High Quality UV acryl coatings and Natural Oil finishes. The Bona UV acryl finish system provides one of the hardest waring finishes available on the market today. The Faxe natural (oxidative) oil system  will ensure that your floor looks as good as nature intended.

The mechanical lock system “Svedloc is patented by Sodra. Boards are fitted in the same way as traditional tongue and groove materials – horizontally knocked together using a mallet and tapping block. The improved snap lock automatically aligns the boards perfectly each time, ensuring a a gap free installation. Adding glue in tongue and groove is also an option. “Svedloc” is the only Loc-system that allows use of glue as an option in order to avoid squeaking sounds and make the connection and stability even stronger when it comes to installation over radiant heated subfloors, on larger areas or in rooms with special layout (e.g. L-form). With the addition of glue the floor´s tensile strength is improved and it also protects against moisture ingress at the joints.

FSC-Certified flooring. Berg&Berg take environmental issues very seriously. That´s why they have been at the forefront in working to gain “Chain of Custody” accreditation for a selction of species in the natural flooring range.

Nature Plus. In addition to FSC, Berg&Berg were the first to obtain Nature Plus certification for their oiled floor range. This is an assessment which is taken on the environmental sourcing, manufacturing process, transporting, finishing and delivering of the final product and the impact this is likely to have on the environment.

Berg &Berg support the installation of their products with underfloor heating systems.
